Hey guys! Sorry its taken me so long to get this up! I will confess I got distracted by another series that pulled me in and swept me away… Don’t worry y’all will be hearing about it soon! Along with that and school orientation I just haven’t been able to find the time to devote my full attention to this review until today. Here we go though, let your inhibitions melt away and indulge with me in Sweet Evil.
Oh where to even begin with this series… Let me start off by saying that I love this series, I really do. Even though there were a few things here and there that bothered, overall I enjoyed these books immensely. With a potent mix of romance, humor, and suspense, it’s definitely a series that makes you stumble down the book world rabbit hole. With dark, brooding, bad-boy musician Kaiden Rowe and sweet, innocent Anna Witt it’s a series that anyone can relate too. One thing I really enjoyed about this series was the growth I saw in the characters throughout it. They grew individually throughout the series, and they also grew as a couple. In particular seeing Anna grow throughout the series was very enjoyable to me. I felt as if she truly found herself by the end, she wasn’t the same as the beginning, but in a way she was better… Stronger.
Wendy Higgins created a very interesting world for this series, an urban fantasy that involves both angels and demons. The setting and characters she created are very complex. Even the minor characters are extremely well developed, which as the reader just made me even more attached to them. Ginger and Marna had me laughing out loud throughout the entire book series! The only thing that did bother me about this series is that there was a slight love triangle, which I just couldn’t get into… However, I am not a huge fan of love triangles anyways. By the end of it all though, it had me crying tears of joy and sorrow.
This book series is an enjoyably indulgent read that I recommend to any book lover. And ladies… Look out for Kaiden Rowe, because he is delectably HOTT (with the two T’s, lets see if you can pick up on that in the books!), and you will be lusting after him after the first meeting 😉 Did I mention he has an english accent? Yeah… that pretty much did it for me too. Ms. Higgins created a series that will leave you absolutely Addicted, in the best possible way for book readers.
